OKI has recruited a former Konica Minolta Business Solutions sales manager with the task of driving the demand for managed print services.
Gavin Castelyn, who was previously at Konica for seven years promoting multifunction devices in the last couple, has been given the head of end user business role pushing print services directly to users.

Managed print services has taken longer than some in the channel expected to make an impression with an ongoing need for resellers to try and get the message across about the benefits of controlling print costs.
Castelyn will be making the case for the technology directly and working with resellers to ensure they get a chance to identify additional opportunities.
"Once the customer is on board, they will then be managed on an ongoing basis by one of our experienced reseller partners," says Castelyn. "We can also use this approach to incentivise dealers not currently working with us to join our ranks."
