The latest survey of M&A activity from Regent tracked 265 acquisitions in May of European technology companies with a combined value of those deals hitting $26.7bn.
There were two $1bn deals in the month, with Microsoft's $8.5bn payout for Skype the pick of the bunch, but there were a large number of $100m plus purchases going on including Symantec's $390m move for Clearwell.
Closer to home Civica picked up PSCAL, which provides financial services software for the NHS, and Shoreditch saw some action with £40m being paid by Twitter for Tweetdeck, the largest deal the social networking firm has made in its five year history.
The areas that saw most of the interest were in the cloud, social networking and data storage and the overall valuation of tech firms continues to rise, according to Regent.
