Computer 2000 has named Peter Hubbard, formerly of Dell, as its new sales director, and promoted David Watts to the role of commercial director.

Public sector expert Hubbard spent 11 years with Dell and has also enjoyed spells with IBM, Silicon Graphics and lately, a cloud-based contact centre business.

Watts, meanwhile, takes on further responsibility for PCs, software, print consumables and components, and will also oversee the Maverick, consumer electronics and Datech businesses.

UK managing director Andy Gass said Hubbard would "play a vital role in ensuring we can continue to maximise our opportunities and grow business with our customers".

He added: "David Watts has delivered outstanding results in the various senior positions he has occupied in recent years. He possesses the in-depth knowledge of our business and the experience to help us enhance our partnerships and move our business forward."
