Broadline distributor Ingram Micro has announced a major expansion of its CreditBuilder+ programme within the UK and will now offer credit facilities of up to £100,000 to SMB resellers over a 12 month period.

The programme was originally launched in 2008 when credit insurers began to cut back on their exposure to the IT channel, and has been steadily expanding since then, said Ingram Micro managing director Matt Sanderson.
"The number of accounts trading through CreditBuilder+ has risen by 400% [in 2010]. Limits available to these customers have dramatically increased to over £30m," he said.
"The fact is we are now offering more monthly credit in this segment, even prior to this expansion, which will bring more customers onto the programme and enable them to build their credit facility over a shorter space of time than previously," added Sanderson.
Qualifying resellers will be able to build their limit up to £100,000 over a 12 month period, provided they utilise the facility in order to realise the ongoing increases, and agree to direct debit payments.
