Specialist security VAD e92plus has signed an exclusive contract with desktop and mobile device security software developer Absolute Software.
The deal gives e92plus access to Absolute's Computrace solution, which provides customers with the ability to track, secure and control both devices and data stored on them, whether they are on the company network or not.
By submitting your personal information, you agree that TechTarget and its partners may contact you regarding relevant content, products and special offers.
According to e92plus MD Mukesh Gupta the technology, which is already built into the firmware of laptops from vendors such as Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Toshiba, will enable resellers to address the trend for sensitive company data to be stored across disparate devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
"The ability to pro-actively manage and secure mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads, is something resellers are asking for more and more," he said.
The firm will also have access to the Absolute Manage product lines, which add additional control features such as application and licence management, patching, configuration, power management and inventory.
