Ingram Micro has added the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System (MVS) UC suite to its RIM line-card

The distributor added RIM's mobility lines to its portfolio back in December as part of a push to beef up its comms distribution nous.

Two months ago it established a new UK Telco division and appointed Steve Hillman from Orange to run it.

MVS is designed to unify fixed and mobile voice comms to provide one phone number, caller ID, voice mailbox and office phone features on BlackBerry handsets.

"We have been working to expand the range of telecoms services and products on offer," said Ingram Micro UK MD Matt Sanderson.

"To be selected as the first UK distributor to offer the MVS products is a significant win for us and highlights that our goals of becoming a major player in the telco market are being reslised in a very short space of time," he added.
