Having already launched a new cloud-centric partner programme and a series of changes to its partner accreditations at its 2011 Partner Summit in New Orleans, Cisco has announced the addition of WebEx technology to its SMB channel price list, nearly four full years since its $3.2bn acquisition.

Speaking to partners, global channel boss Edison Peres conceded that Cisco had taken an unusually long time to offer WebEx to the channel.
"Don't ask me why," he added.
As an incentive to partners hoping to sell the collaboration lines, Peres announced a 92% cut to the per-person per-month list price for dealers that want to use WebEx internally.
WebEx Meeting Centre products will be made available through a model designed for resellers selling to small businesses. Cisco claims this will allow partners to "offer more complete collaboration solutions while helping customers accelerate productivity".
The vendor is backing up this move with the launch of two new UC systems aimed at the SMB and midmarket - the Uniifed Communications 300 Series and Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 3000 respectively - with the SMB offering also available at 0% financing in the UK through July.
Cisco has also debuted a new partner sales support initiative, dubbed Cisco Partner Advisor, which is pitched at the small business and mid-market resellers in its Registered and Select channels.
The scheme will provide "immediate, personalised" sales support via instant messaging or telephone through two global centres in the US and Europe.
