HP has appointed Frédéric Dussart - former senior vice president of southern Europe, Middle East and Africa at EMC - to the role of EMEA senior vice president and general manager of Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking (ESSN)

Dussart replaces Wolfgang Wittmer, who is currently heading up ESSN in APAC following the departure of local unit supremo Adrian Jones. According to reports Jones is thought to be heading to Oracle.

Dussart returns to HP after an eight year stint with the storage vendor, having formerly run PSG in France.

In a brief statement, HP said Dussart would be responsible for an "aggressive" growth plan with a special focus on increased channel engagement and cloud computing.
