Security specialist Check Point has broken through the $1bn revenue mark for the first time fueled by a strong demand for network protection products.
Numbers filed for the year ended 31 December showed a 19% year-on-year increase in revenue to $1bn and a 21% hike in Non-GAAP net income to $528m.
Gil Shwed, founder, chairman and CEO of Check Point, pointed out that during the year it had expanded its range and entered new markets to provide products to fight mobile and remote access threats.
He said the performance, "was driven by demand for our network security products, which is a market in which we continued to gain share. We also extended our market reach with out intrusion prevention systems, data loss prevention and mobile access software blades."
