Newmarket-based security and networking distie Computerlinks has added network monitoring kit from incoming US vendor Gigamon to its line-up in a move it says will complement its range of networking, security and virtualisation products.

"This is a very fast growing sector driven by customers' needs to understand what's happening on their networks, and reduce security risks whilst maximising ROI from their current infrastructure," explained Computerlinks new technology and services director David Ellis.

Computerlinks said it would be targeting specialist partners keen to add more proactive network monitoring and data access solutions to their customer offering.

The VAD will be providing its usual range of extras, including end-user marketing, proof of concept and product evaluation programmes and technical training workshops.
