Juniper Networks has stolen away Alcatel-Lucent APAC president Sean Dolan to be its new EMEA senior vice president and "spearhead Juniper's support for the growing demand for IP networking."

Dolan, who joins Juniper a week after it acquired WLAN outfit Trapeze Networks from parent Belden, will report to worlwide sales boss John Morris and takes on responsibility for the firm's sales development, training and enablement, strategic planning, customer engagement and revenue growth strategies.

"The company's vision for the new network shows [it] is at the forefront of product innovation. Juniper understands customers' needs for high-performance networking at a lower total cost of ownership [and] I welcome the opportunity to play a role in this dynamic company," said Dolan.

Prior to his stint at Alcatel-Lucent, Dolan worked with EDS, Wang Laboratories and Ernst & Young, among others.
