ComputerLinks continues to build up its cloud portfolio for resellers adding secure backup as one of the options available through its Alvea cloud services portal.

The distributor launched its cloud platform last month giving resellers the chance to offer customers services that they would not have to provide the data centre infrastructure for and it is continuing to add to the options partners can offer.

The managed secure backup comes from Datacastle which is able to encrypt and secure backup data that is mirrored across data centres in Ireland and Amsterdam. Customers can be charged by resellers on a per user and gigabyte usage combination.

Kathryn Miller, professional services manager at ComputerLinks, said that it was adding to its cloud proposition and the secure backup was a service that would help firms ensure their data was protected.

"We are working on a number of services to make sure the resellers can maximise the margins and provide cloud services without having to deliver the [infrastructure] themselves," she said.
