Micro Focus has ended its hunt for a CFO to replace Nick Bray, appointing former Morse CEO Mike Phillips to the role.
Phillips quit Morse after its sale to 2e2 in April. He had worked his way up to the top spot after starting out as finance director.
He had also done time at Microgen and in corporate finance roles at accountancy firms Smith & Williamson and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Welcoming Phillips aboard, Micro Focus CEO Nigel Clifford said: "His skills are a great fit as we continue to develop Micro Focus' operational strengths to address our market opportunity, meet customer demand and deliver sustainable growth."
