Dimension Data's Systems Integration and Managed Services units put in a strong trading performance for the three months to the end of June, the South Africa-based, London-listed firm said this morning in an interim management statement.

Trading in Internet Solutions and Express Data was less satisfactory, while the firm's Plessey business let the side down after it was impacted by weak order volumes in Africa.

Constant currency revenues for Q2 were up 22% compared to the same period last year, with all regions recording growth in turnover.

DiData said it remained positive about its short and medium-term prospects, and reaffirmed its commitment to moving to a services led strategy.

In mid-July DiData was bought by Japanese comms firm NTT in a £2.1bn all-cash deal. The firm gave no update on the progress of the takeover process today, although it is expected to be completed by October.
