Wireless vendor Aruba has signed an OEM deal with Dell under the terms of which the Texan PC giant will market wireless networking products under its PowerConnect marque.

Dell already has OEM relationships with Brocade and Juniper, and already resold Aruba's wireless kit as well.
Speaking to MicroScope, Aruba EMEA marketing director Roger Hockaday said that Aruba's kit will be labelled as the PowerConnect W-Series, although based on the strength of the existing relationship it will maintain discrete Aruba branding.
"Wireless LAN is a good complement to Dell's existing networking portfolio," Hockaday explained. "Dell can already offer an end-to-end data centre environment, but this adds the capability to deliver applications outside the enterprise network."
The new lines will be made available to resellers in Dell's PartnerDirect programme by the end of the month and will include a version of Aruba's AirWave Wireless Management Suite software package.
