Those resellers waiting to see what the impact of extending Blackberry functionality to Sage products would be have had less than three weeks to get the answer.
Having put mobile functionality that works with Research in Motion (RIM) phones into its flagship Sage 200 2010 product, which was launched at the start of the month, the vendor has now kicked off a Partners on the Move Club that provides tools and support for those looking to exploit sales of the latest technology.
The Sage 200 product offers Blackberry users the chance to see some business intelligence functionality and is the first time the software has delivered that sort of flexibility.
"Sage has developed a number of mobile applications for Blackberry devices," said Steve Attwell, general manager for Sage's lower mid-market division, adding the the partner club would provide the pointers for those looking to grow revenue.
Sage has plans to extend its functionality to other mobile platforms including Apple but took the view that it made sense to start with the wideloy used Blackberry first.
