Ken Xie, CEO of Network security and UTM provider Fortinet, has highlighted "increased investments in the sales organisation" after posting increased Q1 sales and profits.

In the three months to the end of March, total sales hit $69.8m (£45.7m), up 29% year-on-year, with services revenue up 22% to $38.6m. GAAP Net profit was up 10.5% to $4.2m

Ken Goldman, CFO, said the results "exceeded our expectations across key metrics."

"Looking ahead, we will continue to invest in our business to support growth as the economic environment grows," he added.
