Fortinet has turned to Arc Technology in a move to increase its penetration into the enterprise market.

Arc has been appointed as the latest UK distributor, alongside Bell Microproducts, VADition and Voice Comms Warehouse, by the networking security and UTM specialist Fortinet with a brief to satisfy demand at the high-end of the market.

The decision to widen the number of distributors was taken on the back of a strong performance last year and Paul Judd, regional director of Fortinet UK and Ireland, said that it had seen demand growing at the high-end of the market.

"The new partnership will enable us to really maximise this opportunity by increasing the volume of our reseller base across new enterprise markets," he said.

He added that Arc Technology also impressed with its pre-sale consultancy and after-sales support and had carved out a position selling into the enterprise market with other products in its security portfolio.

Stuart Reay, managing director of Arc Technology, said that there were signs already that the recovery was kicking in and customers were spending again and there was demand for high-end network security products.
