Guy Kewney, one of the key figures involved with establishing MicroScope magazine, and a major figure in the technology journalism world has sadly passed away.
Kewney was involved with helping set MicroScope up 28 years ago recognising the opportunity posed by the emerging distribution and reseller market.
He also wrote a monthly column for Personal Computer World from its launch in 1978 up until its closure last year.
As a result of a BBC mistake where a cab driver Guy Goma was interviewed live on air about Apple instead of Kewney his name became even more widely known.
Kewney was diagnosed with cancer last year and died last evening. He will be missed by family and friends and forever remembered by those that followed him carrying the torch on MicroScope that he lit all those years ago.
