A 25-year comms industry veteran, Bunting has been tasked with reviewing Opal's channel strategy with a view to making its offering to comms and data VARS and distributors more attractive.
Opal wholesale director Andy Hollingworth said: "Graham has a proven track record of driving exponential sales ghrowth and we are confident that his experience and insight will help us to develop Opal's partner strategy and add tremendous value to both the business as a whole, and new and existing customers alike."
Opal has already invested over £200m in building its NGN, and speaking to MicroScope at this week's UC Expo show, the firm's business transformational director Andrew Lockwood said that the time was right for resellers to start running more complex managed services offerings.
Bunting left Avaya towards the end of 2008, and has been freelancing in the industry since then. Prior to his time at Avaya he served with Lucent Technologies and SDX Business Systems.
