Motorola enterprise and public sector partners are to be inducted into a new channel programme framework dubbed PartnerEmpower.

The mobility and networking vendor said the amalgamation of the two separate channels was the final step in the combination of its enterprise and public sector businesses into the Enterprise Mobility Solutions (EMS) business, which was initially announced last year.

The programme will comprise of three different tracks to be rolled out between now and mid-2011, with partners able to specialise in either wireless network solutions, mobility or radio, and includes two specialism levels, PartnerEmpower Specialist and Elite Specialist, with incremental benefits and perks.

"With a single channel programme, Motorola is enhancing our relationship with channel partners, focusing our attention on benefits and resources that offer the most value to partners, and establishing processes and competency programmes that help partners go to market more profitably," said Motorola EMS global channel vice president Janet Schijns.

In common with many other developing channel programmes, Motorola added that it was including tools to aid collaboration between different partners on combined projects.
