Microsoft LAR Trustmarque has named ex-HP bod David Papworth to lead the Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) due to launch this month.
The move is part of the reseller's efforts to develop services based revenues to rely less on software licenses, a drive that has been made all the more important after Microsoft rung through changes to LAR fees this summer.

"We were looking for specialists who are able to generate as knowledgeable dialogue with our customers and deliver technical support so that we can offer a more rounded solution," said Trustmarque CEO Scott Haddow.
The Trustmarque ESG division will provide Software Licensing Services, Information Security, Infrastructure Optimisation, Infrastructure Solutions and Business Intelligence.
Papworth, who will be responsible for Project and Product Managers in TESG, joins from HP where he was a Managing Consultant and has spent most of his career in the services and IT management markets.
"We are already helping customers with software and consultancy so it makes sense that we should also help with the implementation process," said Papworth in a statement.
At the same time, former Dell senior solutions consultant Kevin Green joins Trustmarque as infrastructure solutions manager. His areas will include Network Infrastructure, Data Storage, Virtualisation and Data Centre Design.
