"Content-aware deduplication allows us to provide a true global approach to deduplication across the data centre and has a tremendous ripple effect on cost savings that frees up budgets for strategic investment," said Brad Anderson, SVP at Dell Enterprise Product Group.
The integration with Dell's existing storage portfolio will push deduplication into "key storage workflows including backup, replication, migration and tiering," said Ocarina CEO Murli Thirumale.
