Three buyers at online reseller eBuyer have been suspended on suspicion of taking backhanders from suppliers.
The whistle was blown by a member of staff who discovered that the buyers were receiving fixed payments based on the percentage of orders placed with numerous suppliers.

Armando Sanchez, managing director at eBuyer, confirmed it has suspended the three staff as it delves deeper into the matter.
"They are proven innocent until the investigation is done, the investigation is going on and it is just a long process," he told MicroScope.
It is not clear whether the e-tailer will choose to involve the police but refused to comment further at the time of going to press.
