Hewlett-Packard has announced a replacement for David Wright filling the vacancy at the head of its PSG UK and Ireland management team.

Gordon Ballantyne, a former T-Mobile UK sales and service director, joins as vice president of PSG UK from next Thursday.

On his CV Ballantyne also lists Dell as an employer and he was responsible for helping set up dell.com across Europe.

In a statement he said that HP had the products and the services to make it edge ahead of the competition.

David Wright resigned from the post back in the summer and in the months since then HP's former head of EMEA channels Jos Brenkel has been running the division on an interim basis.
