Thompson runs the commercial sales division that includes the Panacea operation acquired by Kelway last year, while Damon Dance is sales director for the specialist sales division including Repton, another conquest notched up by the acquisitive reseller.
Phil Doye, chief executive at Kelway told MicroScope he was looking to replace Thompson and also a group sales director into the frame.
"We are looking to recruit a group sales director to help us grow to the next level, we need someone with overall responsibility for the units," he said.
He wished Thompson all the best for his new charitable venture with the homeless.
