Citrix has announced changes to its licensing purchasing process in order to simplify customer paperwork and remove the need for upfront costs.
An increasing number of software vendors are reacting to the demands for simplified licensing, which is one of the benefits of cloud computing, by offering single suite deals and pay as you grow options.
The Citrix Enterprise License Agreement programme has been announced at the vendors Synergy conference, currently being held in Las Vegas.
“Streamlining our licensing to make it easier for our customers to leverage economies of scale when purchasing Citrix products helps us achieve this goal,” said Al Monserrat, senior vice president, sales and services at Citrix.
The vendor is also offering greater flexibility with discounts and the option to renew licenses when the customer requires it removing the traditional need for an upfront payment.
At the same time the Citrix Synergy conference also saw the vendor announce an iPhone application providing users with remote access to their Windows applications.
