Speaking to MicroScope, Selina Lo, CEO and president of Ruckus Wireless, said that it would be setting up R&D facilities in China and expanding its operations into non-English speaking countries using the funds.
“We will be increasing sales and support coverage,” she added when detailing how the money would positively impact the channel.
Lo said that it was expecting some channel opportunities around its outdoor wireless product that was aimed at the corporates and the education sector that wanted to extend wi-fi coverage to staff and students beyond the confines of their buildings.
“Some resellers will be able to go in and win the bid just because they can offer external wireless,” she said.
