The UK set up was transformed last year after franchisee Formjet, which distributed the software to other resellers, sold off the operation back to Panda International as it prepared to take greater control of the business and expand globally.
“We have got 500 authorised partners but will have a real recruitment push and plan to launch a partner programme in February,” Heath told MicroScope.
A SasS initiative, Panda Cloud Protection will also be promoted through resellers and Panda will evaluate the inclusion of distribution, “there are some benefits around credit and market reach,” she said.
Heath said many customers did not have the budget to commit to the top tier security vendors but claimed Panda was able to be more flexible in deals.
In an IT career which started in 1987, Heath has worked at Compaq, Merisel UK, Kingston Technology, Netstore, Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Sophos before joining 2e2 in April 2008.
