Novell has confirmed the return of its European BrainShare reseller event putting the conference back on the calendar after a five year break.

The return of BrainShare in Europe comes after a break caused by the recession following a loss of appetite last year among resellers to attend foreign trips.

Speaking to MicroScope in September Dan Veitkus, vice president and general manager of partners EMEA at Novell, said that the vendor understood the value of personal communication with its partners.

The chosen venue for BrainShare EMEA is Amsterdam in May and the emphasis of the event is going to be on Novell’s current strategy to push a portfolio sale into the emerging information workflow management (IWM) space.

Javier Colado, President EMEA, Novell, said that the return of BrainShare in Europe was "a reflection of our focus on helping customers, prospects and partners get more from their Novell solutions.”

As we embark on our strategy of IWM, it was important we provided a forum for customers, partners, and prospects to come together to listen, see and discuss how it could be applied to their organizations,” he added.
