The open-source implementation of Microsoft's .net development platform is expected to be released today.
Mono 2.0 features an open-source version of C# 3.0 and Language Integrated Query (LINQ) for language-level integration with SQL.
Mono allows developers to build and run .net-style desktop and server applications for the Linux, OS X and Solaris operating systems.
The full roadmap for further Mono development work is available online.
