Blackberry OS end of support
In 2016, BlackBerry Executive Chairman and CEO John Chen announced that the company’s transition to a software company was complete. This set the countdown clock ticking to the end of support date for its device operating systems. However, Blackberry’s Android devices are still supported.
At the start of January 2022, the company announced a strategic partnership with Pateo, an, internet of Vehicles (IoV) technology service & product provider in China. Through the collaboration BlackBerry’s IVY cloud-connected software platform will be integrated into PATEO’s intelligent Digital Cockpit software to develop data-driven in-vehicle services and drive new business opportunities in the Chinese market.
