Apple OS X Yosemite – How open beta will improve enterprise outlook

How will Microsoft compete?

The Yosemite translucent panels have a “Windows Vista” feel about them. Let’s hope Apple has taken a better approach to the rest of the operating system.

There are rumours that the next Windows operating system will have a different look and feel depending on device, something that Apple has already mastered.

The new Surface Pro also threatens to take on the iPad as the “tablet to replace the laptop” but the Windows 8 operating system is not popular in the enterprise, leaving Apple an opportunity to seize the market if they make the right moves.

Apple has fought back, using its partnership with IBM to develop enterprise worthy applications, but in the current enterprise environment where the devices come from is less important, the user will choose the device they are most comfortable with.
