Juniper Networks rolls out enhancements for Elite partners

Juniper Networks has announced plans to add some value to the Elite level of its partner programme

Juniper Networks has announced some updates to its partner advantage programme as it tries to ensure it can reward the best performing resellers.

One change has seen the introduction of some fresh categories in the Elite tier, including cloud services provider, next gen and rising star,  which will give the vendor the chance to place partners in the best position.

The second change is the introduction of a points-based reward scheme that should help partners manage and track deals more quickly. That programme comes into force from the start of next month.

Matt Hurley, corporate VP, global channels and field marketing at Juniper, announced the changes to the partner programme in a blog post.

"As we built out the Juniper Partner Advantage program in 2016, we found that customer demands were changing and our channel partners were reshaping their business models to address those changes.  To account for these changes in partners’ business models, we’ve created new categories within the Elite level of the Juniper Partner Advantage program," he stated.

"These new categories enrich the Elite partner tier, which is our highest, most operationally sophisticated partner level. Adding new categories within the tier allows us to place partners at the optimal part of the program that works best for their business needs," he added.

The new categories

The full list of new categories includes:
•  Next Gen
•   Rising Star
•   Federal Partner (US partner programme)
•   Cloud Services Partner
•   Volume Partner (US partner programme)

The Next Gen partner refers to those that are involved with software, services and XaaS. Rising stars will be fresh to the Elite level and will be invited to join based on their business plans.

Referencing the other development in the rewards programme Hurley said that it would make life easier for partners.

"In addition to a greatly enhanced user interface for claims submissions, the new program is integrated with our updated Deal Registration System (in AMER and EMEA) to ensure deal preference and pricing advantages, helping partners manage, track and close on deals quickly," he said.
