IT journalists fail to cause downtime

Gogo claims to be able to supply 70Mbps of capacity per plane, eventually rising to 100Mbps, although in practice the service is throttled to give everyone a bite, and the maximum speed a user will see is 25Mbps.

On the test-flight, a team of aviation and technology journalists did their level best to make the system fall over by streaming, Tweeting, emailing, and connecting to their company VPNs.

They did not succeed.
