FDM everywoman Leader of the Year in a corporate organisation: Katrina Roberts

Katrina Roberts, vice-president – global network and international consumer technologies Europe, American Express, from Brighton won the FDM everywoman Leader of the Year in a corporate organisation award 2014.

Roberts joined American Express on its graduate programme, advancing to her current role as head of European technologies and a place on the UK executive committee. Managing a team of 150, Roberts is responsible for delivering technology solutions across all European markets for global network and international card services division. She is the mentor to high potential female talent within American Express and has helped to increase female representation within the business to 30%.

Judges said Roberts is “driving change in the pipeline of young people”.

The annual awards aim to address the issue of attracting more women into the tech sector and retaining more female talent. This year's winners were announced during a ceremony at the Park Lane Sheraton.
