Two approaches to WAN optimisation

6/6

Relative internet (WAN) versus Arkyaka (LAN) performance

We put the Aryaka network to the test using both block file and Microsoft CIFS transfer tests. Comparing with a standard onternet connection, over a fixed 10Mbps link between the US and India, we found that the Aryaka network immediately reduced latency and observed 99% of all test traffic being optimised. On block transfer tests we saw a 25x improvement in bandwidth usage and optimisation, compared with standard internet and a 10x improvement with CIFS.

Moreover, the Aryaka network was able to create effectively close to 25Mbps of bandwidth from a 10Mbps link, generating an immediate and obvious cost saving.
