In 1958, IBM took ownership of Hursley House and the surrounding grounds. Over the past 50 years, the site has been home to the Hursley Laboratory. At Hursley House employees are encouraged to take part in charitable events locally, within the wider community and even internationally. This timeless site plays host to a range of programmes to engage school-aged children in Science, Maths, Technology and Engineering subjects.

IBM recently held its Blue Fusion event, at Hursley House. The event took place during National Science and Engineering Week and was held to encourage more than 300 students, aged 14 and 15, to participate in exciting activities based on STEM subjects.
