Perspective16: On the case with Kandy

Source:  Genband

David Walsh, Genband CEO and chairman, insists that the most exciting thing he sees in the industry is when people find a ‘new use case’ for the Kandy platform.

Kandy is a cloud based, real-time communications software development platform, built from Genband’s own communications, presence and security software. The solution framework includes Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Software Development Kits (SDKs) and quick starts (pre-built applications such as video shopping assistance) to jumpstart development.

“When we see new implementations for the kinds of Unified Communications (UC) technologies that we enable, I think it really fires the imagination,” said Walsh. “Content without context is hugely important today and that’s what Genband exists for i.e. the ability to do this thing we call ‘network modernisation’ and provide even immovable previously disconnected applications with communications and collaboration functionality.”
