Experian implements data management system

Cliff Saran

Credit-rating agency Experian has implemented a high volume data management system to support the storage and management of statuatory documents filed at Companies House.

The system, implemented by storage specialist Softco, supports 6 TBytes of archived data, totalling 500 million pages and a daily feed of 5GB of new data from Companies House. The data is used in Experian's data services which assists businesses with B2B marketing, credit and risk and research and analytics.

The system has been engineered to allow Experian to increase the size of its archive to cater for future business opportunities.

Experian worked closely with Softco to implement the storage infrastructure, which provides full resilience including high availability and disaster recovery components.
