The application deadline for this year's prestigious DTI/InterForum E-commerce Awards is approaching. Any business wishing to enter has just one month to do so.
The awards are open to any UK organisation with fewer than 250 employees and they reward SMEs for innovation in the application of information and communication technologies to improve their business performance.
UK businesses have more than 60 regional opportunities to win part of the total £214,000 cash prize with 12 regions and five regional and national categories, while there are also three national innovation categories.
The awards, which have been running for six consecutive years, recognise areas in which organisations can demonstrate business transformation.
Award categories include: e-business start-ups, e-trading, e-business, best use of broadband communications. A new category this year is for best use of teleworking.
The DTI/InterForum E-commerce Awards were set up by the DTI and InterForum and are sponsored nationally by the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. They are the only government-backed technology-specific awards.
The deadline to apply for the awards is 30 July.
