Some applications like video streaming service Netflix, offer different levels of bandwidth usage based on the quality of the video stream. So 4K content uses more bandwidth compared to HD (high definition). SD (standard definition) video has the lowest impact on bandwidth. Unless there is a compelling reason to stream at 4K, a significant reduction in bandwidth usage can be achieved, by using lower quality video settings. Along with video streaming, it may also be worth trying a lower video setting on games consoles.
