Home working: Upgrade to wired networking

While it is convenient, Wi-Fi is probably the least reliable way to connect a laptop to the home network. An instant and easy upgrade can be achieved simply by running a length of Ethernet cable from the home broadband router and wiring it directly into the corporate laptop. Modem, sleek laptops, no longer sport an Ethernet port, but a low cost USB-to-Ethernet adapter, like the one in the picture, can be plugged into a spare USB port on the laptop to provide wired internet connectivity. Even if a USB adapter is needed, this upgrade is by far the cheapest option.
