Intel’s Code-For-Good in the Cloud Hackathon #IDF13 was designed to bring college students and IT professionals together in a good-natured mini-hackathon. The resultant apps were designed to be cloud-aware (including a stateless model) taking a web services approach with appreciation for massive scaling needs -- and designed for failure possibilities. The apps had to be built to run across a spectrum of client devices via HTML5 and utilise sensor technology and so-called Intel HR pedagogical best-practices.
