BlueSky to map Scotland in £1.2m deal

The Scottish Executive has awarded a £1.2m contract to digital aerial photography supplier BlueSky for elevation and image data for Intermap's Nextmap. The map data was purchased through the S-Cat scheme and consists of a first surface model, a bald earth model and orthorectified radar image.

Teesdale council installs voice over IP system

Teesdale District Council has awarded a £150,000 contract to Freedom Communications, a voice integrator, to install a new voice system across four sites in the Barnard Castle area. Freedom enabled the three sites to convert to voice over IP, providing savings on phone bills.

Radcom signs 3G implementation deal

Radcom, a network test and service monitoring solutions provider, has signed a £528,000Ê UMTS network and service monitoring contract with a 3G mobile operator in southern Europe. The Cellular Performer system will be deployed to smooth the transition from voice-centric to converged services.Ê

Dartington College staff view finance online

Dartington College of Arts has signed a five-figure deal with supplier Agresso to implement its business information system, so staff can access all their financial and procurement data via the web. Staff can view budgets and reports, raise and approve requisitions and authorise invoices electronically.
