Cape Clear Software has improved its integrated product suite which enables developers to create, deploy and manage Web services.

Cape Clear 4, previously called G4, offers enhanced security, support for JMS and MQ-based Web services, a Web services management function, and improved developer productivity and testing capabilities.

The suite is made up of three integrated products including Studio, which provides the development environment for designing and developing Web services; Server, which supplies the technology for integrating Web services with a range of different servers running Java, .net and WebSphere MQ; and Manager, which offers tools to control the configuration, deployment and security of larger scale Web services deployments.

"As firms look for tangible returns from their IT investments, 2003 will be the year that Web services become the first truly open application integration standard," said Annrai O'Toole, chief executive officer of Cape Clear.

Versions of Cape Clear work with Windows, Linux and Solaris. Pricing for the suite starts at $10,000 (£6,248) per server.
