Alejandra Jimenez questioned the trend, making her stand apart from everyone else tweeting about it and included a few statistics for women in engineering. Based in Mexico, she is the co-founder of StartupBuzz.LA and a Startup Weekend facilitator.

The #ILookLikeAnEngineer campaign was started to break the stereotypes which surround female engineers. Thousands of female engineers took to Twitter to dispel the negative stereotypes surrounding the type of women that go into engineering.
