Avaya and telco Equant have joined forces to deliver products that provide customers with advanced IP communications.
As Avaya’s first global strategic alliance partner for IP telephony and IP contact centre services, Equant will use Avaya’s Communications Manager as a platform to deliver and manage customers’ IP voice and data services.

The pair said their partnership would deliver to customers lower cost products, protection of existing investments, less risk in migrating to new technology, and simplified sourcing by reducing the number of external suppliers.
The first joint offering from the partners is a managed IP telephony communications product designed specifically for multinational companies.
Equant is a subsidiary of France Telecom.
