TelecityRedbus wins datacentre award

Datacentre services provider TelecityRedbus has been selected by the renowned Stevie Awards in recognition of what has been described as outstanding business turnaround.
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected International Stevie winners from among the finalists, which were determined by volunteer judges around the world.

Building on last year’s accolade from the London Business Awards for Business Turnaround of the Year, the Stevie award recognises the significant work that has been invested to improve customer service through a programme of employee training and infrastructure maintenance.
TelecityRedbus has 17 carrier-diverse datacentre facilities and round-the-clock engineering support across seven countries throughout Europe offering digital businesses, corporate enterprises, communications service providers and the public sector flexible and data centre solutions.
TelecityRedbus says that one of the main factors contributing to the success of TelecityRedbus was CEO Mike Tobin’s turnaround strategy, leading the company from near bankruptcy in 2003 to a projected Ebitda profit of over £8.5m in 2006. Tobin was also selected as an international finalist for the Best Turnaround Executive individual prize.
“We are delighted to win the Stevie Award in such a highly competitive arena. This award is important not just in terms of industry recognition but, more importantly, in recognition of the enormous efforts and vision of all employees who have worked tirelessly to help turn the company around from our difficult times to today’s success,” says Tobin.
