Computacenter has shelled out €2m (£1.8m) in cash to acquire IBM system house becom Informationssysteme GmBH from USCF Holding.

The integrator-come-reseller which recently sold its distribution arm CCD to Ingram Micro may also need to cough up an additional €1.2m (£1.09m) based on the completion of the final balance sheet position.

In a statement, Oliver Tuski, CEO at Computacenter Germany, said the deal was a good fit as there was "little overlap" between the companies customer bases.

The acquisition was given the blessing by Big Blue vice president for the systems and technology group Marc Fisher, "Both companies can stimulate each other to provide an even better service".
